Hannah Nash

Hey guys!

My name is Hannah Nash and I am so honored to be this years International

Officer. I am a final year Exercise and Health Studies student from Dublin, and a

former health science convenor and class rep. Moving to a new country to go to

college can be an incredibly scary thing, though myself and the rest of the

students union is here to help in every way that we can!

I’d like to encourage every International student to join the ‘Buddy Scheme’ this

year. The ‘Buddy Scheme’ has been put in place to help each and every

international student feel like they are part of this incredible community in WIT.

Here you will be given a buddy who will become a friendly face in the crowd to

help answer questions and refer you to different services throughout the college.

A number of different events will be organised throughout the year to help you

meet new people and try new things. I will work alone slide the other officers to

make sure that these events are as inclusive and fun as possible, so if you have

any ideas do let me know!
I want you to feel supported during your time here, so if you have any questions

please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I encourage you to get involved, be yourself

and know that there are so many people here to support you.

Waterford Institute of Technology is a very special place, and I hope that during

your time here the team and I can help you realise this too.
I can’t wait to meet you all soon!
